Sony Tablet

awesome clients & solid creative = happy crew = huge results!  my team gave it their all for my latest shoot for sony.  these images appeared in sony's LA store to announce their new tablet.  the wall files were huge (96" x 96") and reproduced beautifully.  thanks to the sony team for the photos of the store.

The County of Imperial

i love california! imperial county, just two hours east of san diego, is my playground, my respite and in this case my subject of art.  i shot these images one overcast morning in february of 2010.

Siesta Del Gato

in the midst of a busy day, i grabbed my new canon g12 to photograph 'the baby' taking one of his many mid-day naps.  point and shoot cameras rock!  naps are better though.

marctule.com - Updated

i'm happy to say, our website update is now complete.  we've changed a few things and added many new images.

originally we were working on a completely new and intuitive format allowing clients to download a custom pdf of their selected images.  as we were working out the glitches, the ipad dropped as well as the ensuing flash debate between adobe and mr. jobs.

with that in mind and the all flash glitches we were running into, we decided to put a permanent hold on the 'new' site and go back the the drawing board.  in the meantime, our existing site received a 'makeover' with fewer bells and whistles and new imagery.

stay tuned as we explore java script and some other programming solutions.

My Favorite Apps for Location

back in the days of assisting, i had my pager, my thomas guide and rolls of quarters to use in pay phones...thankfully those are days gone by.  today, life is so much easier and with these apps on my iphone/ipad it is almost too easy!

sunrise sunset:  takes the guess work out of how early i need to wake up for those chilly morning shoots and those magic hour sunset images.

clinometer - great for leveling what ever it is you need leveled, like a camera.

google earth - amazing...find trails, terrain, etc...of course you need a cell signal.

ifotoguide - now i've been to yosemite and arches without these apps and fared well, but really look forward to going back to both locations with these on my iphone.  in addition to popular photography locations, ideal shooting times and directions, it has additional resource links.

walmart - just because it is so wrong!  seriously, no matter how much i pre-plan/pack, i always end up forgetting something and undoubtably, there is a walmart nearby that saves the day that just happens to be open all hours of the night.

Represent

i've searched long and hard to find a photography rep for my business.  this search paid off as i'm proud to say that John Kenney And are now representing me.  it was well worth the wait as John Kenney And is comprised of john kenney and ed varites....two for the price of one you could say.  this team is the perfect balance of business and bedside manner.  it was important for me to find representation that was not only experienced and motivated, but was really focused on building quality relationships with clients.  i'm looking forward to building a long standing alliance with these two industry pros!
